People ears vary greatly so depending on the thickness of your ear or the location of the piercing you may need 6mm, 8mm, 10mm or 12mm bar lengths or ring diameters. The chart shows the most common sizes.
The standard size for most ear piercings is 1.2mm. You can wear a variety of different jewellery (bars, labrets, rings etc) in different piercings and you can mix it up so don't be afraid to experiment.
